Cook at home and deliver

Chefiko chefs can cook at home and deliver, for Special Events and weekly meals. Here is what you need before you turn delivery on, and how delivery works.

Who needs this

Any Chefiko chef who wants to cook in their own kitchen and deliver the food to the customer. If you only cook at the customer's place, you don't need any of this.

Register your economic activity

Chefiko asks every chef who delivers to register their cooking in the Registry of Economic Activities, kept by the National Agency of Public Registry (NAPR). The steps below come from NAPR's own pages. Check them there before you apply.

You'll need:

  • an application, made by you or by someone you authorise;
  • the type of activity, with its code from the national classifier of economic activities (section, division, group, class and sub-class);
  • the address where you cook. If you don't give one, your legal address is used;
  • your ID document, and an authorisation document if someone else applies for you.

Registration costs 39 ₾ and takes 2 working days, or 78 ₾ for the same day.

Registration lasts one year. Ask NAPR to extend it before it ends. An extension costs the same as registration.

Where to apply, and which activity code fits home-cooked food: ask at a Public Service Hall.

Get the registry extract and upload it

Once you're registered, order an extract from the registry. It costs 20 ₾ and takes 1 working day, or 75 ₾ for the same day.

On your Chefiko profile, answer “Where do you cook?” with “At my place, delivered” or “Either” and save: the Delivery card then appears. Upload the extract there. A Chefiko admin checks it, and you see the result on the card. If it's rejected, you see the reason and can upload a new one.

Agree to the hygiene procedures

In the Delivery card, read Chefiko's hygiene procedures for delivered food and agree to follow them. When the procedures change, agree to the new version. Delivery you already have on stays on. Delivery that is off, including after you change your answer to “At the customer's place” and back, turns on only after you agree.

Once your extract is approved and you've agreed, delivery turns on by itself. Then set your cooking time and daily delivery limit on your availability page.

Delivery is yours to arrange

Chefiko doesn't deliver food or book couriers. You take the food to the customer yourself, or use a courier you choose and pay.

To cover this, you set a delivery fee on each Special Event offer, and a delivery fee per week on a weekly plan, charged only for the weeks that are delivered. Chefiko takes no commission on either and passes them to you in full.

  • Use insulated bags or boxes, and ice packs for cold food.
  • Hand the food over within 2 hours of it finishing cooking or leaving the fridge.
  • Label each container with the dish and its allergens, and for weekly meals also the cooking date and a use-by date.
  • Agree the handover with the customer in the booking chat.
