Terms of Service
Effective 30 October 2026
These Terms of Service are the agreement between you and Chefiko when you use Chefiko to book a private chef. Please read them before you book.
1. Who we are
Chefiko is provided by Chefiko LLC, a limited liability company registered in Georgia (identification code: 405866763, registered address: 16 Bakhtrioni Street, Tbilisi, 0160, Georgia).
Email: support@chefiko.com.
2. What Chefiko does
Chefiko provides private chef services: weekly meal prep and one-off Special Events. Chefs on Chefiko are based in Tbilisi.
Weekly meals are cooked at the address you give us or, if your plan includes delivery, cooked in the chef's own kitchen and delivered to that address. Delivery can be part of the chef's quote or added to your plan by the chef later. For a Special Event, you choose when you send the request, from the ways the chef offers: the chef cooks at the address you give us, or cooks in their own kitchen and delivers the food to that address at the agreed time.
If the address is outside Tbilisi, the chef decides whether to take the booking. Any travel is included in the chef's price for a visit, and in the delivery fee for a delivery.
Chefs carry out the service for Chefiko. Your contract for the service is with Chefiko, and Chefiko takes your payment.
When a chef cooks in their own kitchen and delivers, the chef is the food business operator and is responsible for food safety, allergen information and the delivery. Chefiko lets a chef deliver only once it has approved their extract from the Registry of Economic Activities. Chefiko doesn't prepare, store or deliver food.
3. Who can use Chefiko
You must be 18 or older to use Chefiko, as a customer or as a chef. By agreeing to these Terms, you confirm that you are. To book, you need a Chefiko account and must give true information.
4. How a booking works
A booking goes through these steps:
- You send a request to a chef. The chef has 72 hours to answer, or less if the negotiation closes sooner. If the chef doesn't answer in time, the request ends.
- The chef answers with an offer. You can accept it, reject it or send a counter-offer. Each offer, yours or the chef's, is open for 48 hours, or until the negotiation closes if that is sooner.
- The chef can send at most 3 offers, the first one included, and the 3rd is automatically final. You can send at most 2 counter-offers. Either side can mark an offer as final, and a final offer can't be countered. In the last 24 hours before the negotiation closes, neither side can send a counter-offer: an offer can only be accepted or rejected.
- The negotiation closes 7 days after your request or 24 hours before the booked date and time (for a delivery, 24 hours before the chef starts cooking; Tbilisi time), whichever comes first.
- If you accept a chef's offer with "Accept and pay", you go straight to payment. Each payment attempt lasts 15 minutes. This isn't possible in the last 15 minutes before the negotiation closes.
- If the chef accepts your counter-offer, you have 12 hours to pay, or until the negotiation closes if that is sooner. If you don't pay in time, the booking ends.
- A Special Event must be booked at least 48 hours ahead, or more if the chef asks for longer notice.
- A booking is confirmed only once it's paid.
5. Prices and fees
You pay the agreed price plus a service fee: 5% for Special Events and 3% for weekly plans. Prices are in Georgian lari (₾).
For a delivered Special Event, the chef may add a delivery fee to the offer. A weekly plan with delivery may have a weekly delivery fee, charged only for delivered weeks, so a delivered week costs the plan price, plus the service fee, plus that fee. You pay a delivery fee with the booking or the week it belongs to, there is no service fee on it, and Chefiko passes it in full to the chef.
Prices shown on chef profiles and in search ("from N ₾") include the service fee, but not a delivery fee. The price you pay is the accepted offer's price plus the service fee, plus any delivery fee.
You see the full total before you pay. An offer's price and delivery fee can't change once it's sent, and the service fee rate is fixed with the first offer.
6. Payment
Card payments are processed by Flitt. Chefiko doesn't see or store your card number.
Weekly plans:
- You pay for the first week at checkout, and your card is saved with Flitt.
- You can change a week's plan until 24 hours before its prep day begins (Tbilisi time). Then that week is charged automatically to your saved card. This continues until the plan is cancelled.
- If your plan includes both ways of cooking, you can switch a week between your place and delivery until the same deadline, if the chef's calendar allows. Switching to delivery also needs the chef to be able to deliver then; switching to your place needs your kitchen details. The first week, Away weeks and weeks whose payment failed can't be switched. We show the week's amount before you switch, and you're never moved to a higher weekly amount without confirming it.
- The chef can ask you to switch a week, and can stop offering one of the two ways with at least 7 days' notice. If the chef stops cooking at your place, weeks that would have been at your place are delivered only if you choose delivery for them, seeing its weekly amount; such a week you don't choose isn't charged. If your plan was usually at your place, it ends before the first week from the change that you haven't chosen for delivery, with no further charges. If the chef stops delivering, later weeks are cooked at your place, with no delivery fee.
- If the chef can no longer deliver because their registration is no longer approved, upcoming weeks move to your place where there's still time, the chef still cooks at customers' places, the chef's calendar has room, and your plan has agreed visits and your kitchen details; you can skip such a week with no charge until its deadline. Otherwise those weeks are cancelled with no charge, or the plan ends with no further charges. Weeks already paid for delivery aren't refunded automatically: support contacts you and the chef and settles them case by case. If Chefiko withdraws a chef's approval to deliver, open delivery requests are closed, upcoming weekly deliveries change as described above, and our team contacts you about any paid delivery that's still to come.
- We remind you about 3 days before each prep day.
- If a charge is declined, that week isn't cooked, and you and the chef are told. We try again only after you save a new card. After 2 declined charges in a row, the plan is cancelled.
- Changing the saved card makes a 1 ₾ card-check payment, which is refunded automatically. Your bank may take a few days to show the refund.
7. Cancellations and refunds
Before payment: the chef can decline your request, and either side can withdraw its own offer or reject the other's in the app. While a payment is pending, only you can cancel. Nothing has been charged, so there is nothing to refund.
A paid Special Event can't be cancelled in the app. To cancel, write to support@chefiko.com.
If the chef cancels a paid Special Event, you get a full refund, service fee and delivery fee included.
If something went wrong, write to us in the first 24 hours after the booking is completed. We look into it with you and the chef, and decide case by case whether you get a refund, and how much. A booking is marked completed automatically 6 hours after the event ends, or 6 hours after the delivery time for a delivered event.
If you cancel more than 48 hours before the event or delivery, you get a full refund, service fee and delivery fee included. If you cancel less than 48 hours before, the chef may already have bought ingredients, so we look into it with you and the chef and decide case by case how much is refunded.
Weekly plans: you or the chef can cancel the plan in the app at any time. Weeks already paid or locked (a week locks shortly after its change deadline) are still cooked and aren't refunded. Later weeks aren't charged.
Refunds go back to your card through Flitt.
This doesn't affect your rights under Georgian consumer law.
8. Right of withdrawal
You ask for the service to be performed on the date you agree with the chef, and you agree that it starts then.
Once the service has been fully performed with your agreement, the 14-day right of withdrawal under Georgian consumer law no longer applies.
9. Food, allergies and safety
Tell us about allergies and dietary needs in your profile and on each booking, including those of everyone you book for. The chef sees them on the booking.
Chefs follow food-safety practice, but we can't guarantee that a kitchen, yours or the chef's own, is free of allergens.
Chefs who deliver agree to Chefiko's hygiene procedures for delivered food. These include telling you which allergens each dish contains, in the booking chat and on a label on each container.
Delivered weekly meals: keep the food chilled after you receive it and eat each dish by the use-by date on its label. Some meals may arrive frozen. Containers are the chef's choice and included in the price; arrange any returns with the chef.
You can report a safety concern from the booking page.
10. Accounts and conduct
Use Chefiko respectfully. We may suspend an account that breaks these Terms.
If we suspend a chef, your paid bookings with that chef that haven't started yet are refunded in full. For a booking that is already under way, or a week that is under way or starts that day, our team reviews what was delivered and refunds what wasn't.
11. Liability
Our liability is limited as far as Georgian law allows. We never exclude liability for intent, gross negligence, or harm to life or health.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may publish a new version of these Terms. It applies to bookings paid for after it takes effect. Each booking keeps the version that was in effect when you first paid for it, unless you accept a newer version in the app, for example to switch a week of a weekly plan to delivery.
13. Law and complaints
These Terms are governed by Georgian law.
If something goes wrong, please contact support first, by email or from the booking page. This doesn't limit your right to go to a court or a consumer protection authority.
