Privacy Policy
Effective 29 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Chefiko collects, why, who processes it, how long we keep it and what your rights are.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Chefiko LLC (identification code: 405866763, registered address: 16 Bakhtrioni Street, Tbilisi, 0160, Georgia) is the controller of your personal data.
Contact: support@chefiko.com.
2. What we collect
We collect:
- Account details: your name and email, and a phone number if you add one.
- Profile and booking details, including the address where the chef cooks or delivers.
- Dietary needs and allergies, yours and those of everyone you book for. This is health-related data, and we use it only so the chef can cook safely.
- Booking chat messages, and your chats with Chefibot.
- Support requests and safety reports.
- Payment status. We don't receive card numbers.
- If you're a chef: the identity document and any certificate, licence, proof of address or extract from the Registry of Economic Activities you upload, the date and version of the hygiene procedures and of the Chef Service Agreement you agreed to, and the bank details we pay you to, including your personal ID number.
- Usage analytics: how the site is used.
3. Why we use it
We use your data to:
- provide bookings and weekly plans;
- take payments and pay chefs;
- send messages you must receive, such as payment notices, and optional ones you can turn off;
- keep the service safe;
- improve the service.
4. Who processes it
The chef you send a request to sees the booking details needed to cook, including the address and allergies.
If you're a chef, we pay you by bank transfer, so our bank receives your name, IBAN, bank name and the amount.
Some of the providers below are in the United States. They process data for us:
- Supabase: database and accounts.
- Vercel: hosting.
- Resend: email.
- Flitt: card payments.
- PostHog (EU region): usage analytics. It receives your user ID and email address.
- Google: sign-in with Google, and Gemini, which processes what you write to Chefibot.
5. How long we keep it
Your account stays until you delete it. You can't delete it while you have active bookings. Deletion takes effect 30 days after you ask. Until then you can keep your account with the "Keep my account" button, shown across the app while deletion is scheduled; signing in alone doesn't cancel it.
Then we remove your name, the phone number on your profile, your profile photo, allergy notes, a chef's bio, photos and uploaded documents, Chefibot chats and saved card tokens, and you can no longer sign in. A chef's public display name stays on past bookings and reviews.
We keep your sign-in record with your email address, verified phone numbers, bookings, booking chats, reviews and payment records and, if you're a chef, your bank details, a record of which documents we checked and which hygiene procedures and which version of the Chef Service Agreement you agreed to, for accounting, disputes and safety.
6. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Write to support@chefiko.com.
You can also complain to the State Audit Office of Georgia, which supervises personal data protection.
7. Cookies and analytics
For usage analytics, PostHog sets a first-party cookie (ph_…_posthog) and uses your browser's local storage.
The site also keeps what it needs to work in your browser, such as your sign-in session (in local storage) and your language choice (in a cookie). These aren't used for analytics.
Chefiko doesn't currently ask for consent to analytics or offer a way to turn it off.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy. A new version is published on this page with the date it takes effect.
Questions about your data: support@chefiko.com.
