Built on trust.
Inviting someone into your kitchen, eating food cooked in theirs, or trusting them with a week of meals is a real decision. Here is how we make it safer.
Chef verification
Every Chefiko chef submits an ID document, a phone number and a bio, and can add their cuisines and a food-safety certificate. No chef is publicly visible until our team reviews and approves the application.
Privacy by default
Customers' addresses are shared only with the chef they send a request to and with authorized Chefiko staff — no other user sees them. Verification documents are stored in a private bucket — they are visible only to the Chefiko staff who review chefs, not to other users.
Every booking has a paper trail
Bookings move through a clear status timeline. Both parties have an in-app chat scoped to the booking. Every offer and payment attempt is kept on record for support.
Allergies and dietary needs
Customers can list allergies and dietary needs on each booking request, and the chef sees them on the booking before they quote. The AI assistant in the app can't change a booking or its allergy notes.
Reporting issues
Any customer or chef can report a safety issue from inside the app. Reports go to our team for review.
What we don't do
We never store card numbers ourselves. Sensitive payment details are handled by our payment provider. We never share private booking data outside of the customer, the chef, authorized Chefiko staff and the providers that process data for us (listed in our Privacy Policy).
